Werecommend that you use8 mm probes whenpossible to provide optimal robustness againstphysical abuse.Each 3300 XL extension cable includessilicone tape that you can use instead ofconnector protectors. We do not recommendsilicone tape for applications that will exposethe probe-to-extension cable connection toturbine oil.When yourapplication requires narrow side view probes,use the 3300 NSv Proximity Transducer System(refer to Document 147385).This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mmprobe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too largefor the available mounting space6,7.
