This results ina more rugged probe.The larger diameter of the probe body alsoprovidesa stronger, more robust case. Werecommend that you use8 mm probes whenpossible to provide optimal robustness againstphysical abuse.Each 3300 XL extension cable includessilicone tape that you can use instead ofconnector protectors. We do not recommendsilicone tape for applications that will exposethe probe-to-extension cable connection toturbine oil. Proximitor sensors are supplied by default from the factory calibrated to AISI 4140 steel.Calibration to other target materials is available upon request.
